BUILD IT INVESTS OVER E500K
MBABANE – Build it Eswatini has made a significant investment of over E500 000 in youth football through its Under-13 tournament.
This announcement was made by Build it Brand Equity Manager Les Pillay, during the national championships draw held at Sigwaca House, yesterday. Pillay emphasised that this investment goes beyond financial contributions, serving as a direct boost to the communities that have supported Build it as Eswatini’s leading hardware brand. “For 2024 alone, Build it Eswatini invested over E500 000 in this programme. This is more than just a financial figure—it’s a direct investment into the hearts and communities that have supported Build it in becoming Eswatini’s biggest hardware brand.
While we may sell building materials, our true mission is about building people, dreams and opportunities. And if football is your passion, then it becomes our passion too,” said Pillay. He further noted that this year’s participants will have the chance to compete for exciting prizes, including a E10 000 bursary for the best player of the national championships, aimed at supporting their education. “As we strive to create a winning football nation, your support is more vital than ever. This year’s teams will once again have the chance to compete for fantastic prizes, with the Best Player of the National Final being awarded E10 000 to support their education in 2025. This is our way of ensuring that their potential is nurtured both on and off the field.“Together, let us celebrate the passion, talent and dreams of Eswatini’s youth,” he highlighted. This initiative highlights Build it’s commitment to nurturing players both on and off the field. Wenkhosi Dlamini from Nhlangano Stores was awarded the bursary last year. The national championships are scheduled to take place at Mavuso Sports Centre on January 25, 2025, as confirmed by the Eswatini Football Association (EFA).
