HAT-TRICK HEROES TOP SCORERS’ CHARTS
MBABANE – The seventh edition of the Ingwenyama Cup has reached an exciting juncture, with three players currently tied in the scoring charts.
Each has netted three goals as they head into the Last 16, with Musa Dlamini of Rangers scoring a hat-trick over the weekend against National First Division (NFD) side All Nations. Rangers overwhelmed All Nations in their Last 32 Ingwenyama Cup fixture, securing a staggering 7-0 victory.
Musa Dlamini emerged as the standout performer, demonstrating his scoring prowess and helping his team advance to the last 16 of the competition, prior to the draw conducted after this article was compiled. Rangers’ Head of Marketing Mlungisi Ndzinisa praised the players’ performances, urging them to remain humble, particularly given Musa’s extensive experience. It is noteworthy that Rangers will represent the whole of Shiselweni alongside Nkwene Sundowns, following the elimination of Nsingizini Hotspurs in the Last 32 at the hands of Red Rhinos, who triumphed with a 2-1 scoreline.
In addition, Moneni Pirates’ skilled forward, Bi Zahi Herve Irie, also made headlines this past weekend, scoring a hat-trick against the NFD side Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows. Irie completed his hat-trick just 11 minutes into the second half at the Mkhuzweni Technical Centre, with his goal in the 56th minute putting his side 5-0 ahead, before Mfanzile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze added their sixth. Furthermore, Nkwene Sundowns caused a stir in their high-scoring encounter against Sidwashini United.
