MASSIVE MAYALUKA CLASH
MBABANE - The eagerly-anticipated last 16 Ingwenyama Cup fixture is out, and the much-discussed forces derby will be at Mayaluka Stadium.
This headline match, featuring Green Mamba and Royal Leopard, is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30pm in Big Bend. Before this thrilling encounter, Illovo will face Sisonkhe in a clash kicking off at 1pm. Additionally, Saturday will showcase another double-header, where Nkwene Sundowns will go head-to-head with Manzini Sea Birds at 1pm, followed by Rangers taking on Moneni Pirates at 3:30pm. On Sunday, Mavuso Sports Centre will host a double-header, starting with Ezulwini United facing off against Red Rhinos at 1:30pm, followed by the National First Division (NFD) side CK Survivors challenging the three-time Ingwenyama Cup champions Mbabane Swallows at 4pm. However, they are determined to change that narrative, as Sifiso Matse has pledged that this year will be different. “We have faced them in league matches over the past two weeks, where our objective was to either win or draw. This upcoming match is a different scenario—it’s a knockout! This time, we are going all out for a victory. It’s a significant game, and we are eager to win since we have never lifted this trophy before,” Matse stated. Meanwhile, influential Green Mamba midfielder Njabulo Tfwala emphasised that the match will not be easy, but being a derby means they require no additional motivation. “Facing Leopard is always intense, and we must fight until the final whistle. We will do everything possible to emerge victorious,” he asserted.
