GADLELA’S E50K NSINGIZINI SIGNING-ON FEE
MBABANE – Revealed!
In a move that has sent shockwaves through Eswatini football, former Mbabane Swallows midfielder Ayanda ‘Gandaganda’ Gadlela has signed a two-year deal with the ambitious Shiselweni-based outfit, Nsingizini Hotspurs.
The deal, which has generated considerable buzz among fans, sees Gadlela receive a signing-on fee of E50 000. The signing follows his resignation from the ‘Birds’, a move that surprised many given his key role in the squad over recent seasons.
The talented playmaker’s departure from Swallows, where he spent a significant portion of his career, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his football journey. The Swallows journey commenced with his transfer from the now-defunct Tambuti to Umkhonto KaShaka at the start of the 2022/23 season.
His debut season with the club proved to be a solid foundation for his subsequent achievements. However, in his second season, he made a remarkable impact, scoring an impressive number of goals and playing a crucial role in the team clinching its seventh league title – the first since the 2017/18 season.
Grateful
In a heartfelt statement, Gadlela reflected on his time with Mbabane Swallows, acknowledging the club’s significant impact on his career. “I am truly grateful to the Mbabane Swallows family for giving me the opportunity to grow my talent and become the player I am today. I have achieved a great deal with Swallows, and I will always look back on my time there with fondness,” Gadlela said.
However, the former Tambuti player, known for his dynamic midfield displays, made it clear that his ambitions extend far beyond the local football scene. “While I have had fantastic experiences here in Eswatini, I have always harboured bigger dreams. I envision myself playing internationally, perhaps in SADC countries or even further afield,” he revealed, demonstrating his ambition to challenge himself at a higher level.
The former Tambuti player’s move to Nsingizini Hotspurs coincides with the official departure of Barnabe Tehen Mikoli. Mikoli and the club mutually agreed to terminate his contract earlier this week, paving the way for Gadlela’s arrival. Sources close to the club confirmed that Gadlela has already commenced training with his new teammates, demonstrating a swift transition into life at Nsingizini Hotspurs.
