SHOCK AS ‘GUDAS’ (27) DIES

MBABANE – The Eswatini football community is in deep mourning following the untimely death of Bonginkosi ‘Gudas’ Dlamini, a highly-talented midfielder.‘Gudas’, aged 27, passed away this past Sunday at Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. His father, Mhlaba ‘Chester’ Dlamini, confirmed the tragic news, expressing the unbearable grief felt by the family. “Words cannot capture the sorrow we feel. Bonginkosi was loved by so many, and his passing has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts and the soccer community,” he said.
Sidwashini United Director, Melizwe Mamba, under whom Gudas most recently played, expressed shock at the sudden loss. Mamba recalled speaking to Gudas just days before his death and noted no indication of ill health. “This is a devastating blow to all of us,” he remarked, visibly shaken.
