THUBELIHLE MAVUSO CHOOSES NSINGIZINI
MBABANE – Revealed!
MTN Premier League outfit Nsingizini Hotspurs have finally broken their silence regarding the failed transfer of star winger Thubelihle Mavuso to South Africa’s Betway Premiership side Magesi FC. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Banele Ngobe shared the reasons behind the collapsed deal in an interview with South Africa’s Kick Off.
Mavuso, the dynamic Sihlangu winger, had reportedly impressed the Magesi technical team, led by former Orlando Pirates Coach Owen da Gama, earlier this year. However, despite the initial interest, the move never materialised. “We simply couldn’t agree on terms with Magesi.
“Furthermore, the player himself rejected their offer,” Ngobe explained. Ngobe also disclosed that Mavuso had expressed his desire to remain with ‘Insingizi Yezulu’ and pursue the MTN Premier League title as a key factor in his decision.

The winger was unwilling to join the Betway Premiership side, currently languishing at the bottom of the league table. Meanwhile, Ngobe confirmed that the Derrick Shiba-owned outfit completed the signing of former SuperSport United midfielder Sikhumbuzo Mazibuko for the remainder of the season.
“Everything is fine and his paperwork has been sorted out. “He is now available for selection,” Ngobe confirmed.
It is worth noting that Mavuso was also a target for SuperSport United during the recently-closed registration window, underscoring the young winger’s burgeoning reputation.
Meanwhile, Mazibuko joins a growing list of South African players who have played in the country in recent years, including Phumlani Mkhize, Junior Khanye, Steve Lekolea, Thamsanqa Sangweni, Punch Masenamela and Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi, to name a few.
