INGWENYAMA CUP QUARTER-FINALISTS PROMISE FIREWORKS
LOBAMBA – “We are ready.”
These were the words echoing the same sentiment from the eight quarter-finalist teams, each vowing to sacrifice everything for their respective clubs. They promised to push their limits and fight tooth and nail on the pitch to secure victory, this coming weekend.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated Ingwenyama Cup quarter-finals, the captains of the eight participating teams spoke to the media at Nkhanini, Lobamba, yesterday, exuding confidence and determination in the face of fierce competition.
Mbabane Swallows’ Captain Kingsley Kwayki, remarked: “We may be three-time champions, but we are well aware that every match is different. Lozitha Spurs are a formidable opponent. “Despite our previous success, we will not underestimate them and are prepared for a tough game.”
Lozitha Spurs’ captain, Bhekisisa Sikhondze, addressed the media with conviction, declaring: “While we hold immense respect for Mbabane Swallows as a formidable team, our focus remains unwavering on the task at hand – to make history in the tournament by defeating them on the field.
“We enter this match with no intention of showing our respect through leniency, but rather with a burning desire to prove our mettle and carve our place among the greats.”

Moneni Pirates Captain Menzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane acknowledged the magnitude of the challenge ahead, stating: “We are fully aware of the formidable opponents we will face in Manzini Sea Birds. “However, our team is working relentlessly in training to prepare for this pivotal match. “Our supporters play a crucial role in our success and I implore them to rally behind us in full force at the Mavuso Sports Centre, creating a spirited atmosphere that will drive us to give our all on the pitch.”
Manzini Sea Birds’ Skipper Muzi Tsabedze, conveyed his team’s excitement leading up to the highly-anticipated quarter-final match against Moneni Pirates, urging fans to arrive early and savour the thrills of the beautiful game.
“Our game promises to be a highlight of the weekend, and we are raring to showcase our skills on the pitch.
“We humbly implore our supporters to arrive early and immerse themselves in the electrifying atmosphere,” he expressed.
