SIMON NGOMANE FOR HOTSPURS HOT SEAT
MBABANE – Ambitious Premier League side Nsingizini Hotspurs, currently without a permanent coach, are reportedly preparing to appoint Simon Ngomane as interim gaffer.
Ngomane, who previously held the position of Head Coach at Betway Premiership side Golden Arrows, joined Nsingizini last November as Technical Director (TD). His responsibilities encompassed overseeing the club’s development structure as well as the senior team.

A reliable source close to the third-placed team in the MTN Premier League standings has indicated that Ngomane is the preferred candidate to fill the vacancy left by the departed Coach, Alexio Sigion. “Ngomane might take over as Head Coach until the end of the season,” the source disclosed.
The source further clarified that Ngomane possesses the requisite qualifications to lead the team, while the management committee (MC) continues its search for a long-term replacement for Sigion. Meanwhile, ‘Insingizi Yezulu’ Public Relations Officer (PRO), Sibusiso ‘Mnotfo’ Dlamini, has remained tight-lipped regarding the latest developments.“I have not received an update from the management, but I know that they have shortlisted some individuals, but unfortunately, I don’t know their names,” Dlamini stated.

He also revealed that Assistant Coach Mpendulo Mawelela will continue to lead the team in the interim. It is worth mentioning that Nsingizini Hotspurs Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Banele Ngobe, at the times Ngomane was appointed TD, disclosed that this decision aligned with the club’s commitment to improve the standard of football in accordance with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and contemporary sports science.In South Africa, Cape Town City recently appointed Muhsin Ertugral as TD, who is currently serving in an interim Head Coach capacity.
