MBABANE – Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE) has kicked off 2025 on a high note. The golf team celebrated a significant achievement as they emerged victorious in the newly-sponsored Umelusi Fund Managers Business League. This tournament, which showcases the competitive spirit of local institutions, featured 24 teams vying for supremacy in the first of 10 scheduled games for the year. Represented by Nosimilo Kgomo and CBE Governor Phil Mnisi, the Central Bank team clinched first place with an impressive score of 42 points. Their performance not only highlights the bank’s commitment to excellence, but also reflects the growing engagement of financial institutions in community activities.

Podium

In a closely-contested battle for the podium, Mbabane Municipality secured second place through a countback, with their representatives Mduduzi Maphalala and Themba Maziya finishing with 41 points. The competition was fierce, as ERG, represented by Peter Dlamini and Roger Kunene, also finished with 41 points, placing them in a tightly-contested third position. This victory not only marks a successful start to the year for the CBE, but also emphasises the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving excellence in both financial and community endeavours.
