LUBOMBO MARATHON ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
MBABANE – International runners, it is time to lace up! The Lubombo Marathon, scheduled for April 5, 2025, is not only for international participants, but also caters to local runners who may find it challenging to register at physical locations. Initially, when the marathon was announced last week, registration was limited to physical points, including Fitness Zone, Siteki Hotel, Eswatini Sports and Recreation Council (ESRC) in Mbabane and the Eswatini Olympic Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) offices in Lobamba.
According to the latest update from the marathon’s Public Relations Officer, Comfort Jele, the online registration platform is now operational. “The online registration platform is now live, providing convenience for international runners and local participants who prefer to register from the comfort of their homes. “To access the platform, participants can find a link on the Lubombo Marathon 2025 Facebook page and the TZD Sports Club Facebook page.” For those unable to access Facebook, the online registration link is available here: Lubombo Marathon Registration • https://www.cognitoforms.com/TZD/LUBOMBOMARATHONSIGNUPFORM
Participants are encouraged to register promptly to secure a goodie bag, available for the first 500 registrants. Jele also noted that registration will close on April 3, 2025.
The race features three categories: the 42.2km, 21.1km and 10km events, with registration fees set at E200 for the longer distances and E160 for the 10km. Payments can be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) or Mobile Money to FNB (Branch code: 283064) 62733828977, or Capitec: 2319649111, as well as MoMo Pay: 76900190.
