‘KOFI’ UNOPPOSED FOR DARTS HOT SEAT
MBABANE- Eswatini National Darts Association (ENDA) President Phumlani ‘Kofi’ Ndwandwe has been nominated unopposed for re-election. This decision marks a significant moment for the association, as it indicates a strong sense of stability and support for Ndwandwe’s leadership. Joining Ndwandwe in the unopposed nominations is Thandeka Mkhonto, representing the Elangeni Vipers Darts Club as the candidate for Secretary General. The latter has become the association’s face of development over the years. Completing the list of unopposed candidates is Flag Nxumalo from Green Arrows, who is a nominee for Vice Secretary General/Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Achievements
Their uncontested nominations reflect a shared vision for the future of darts within the nation, aiming to build upon the achievements of the outgoing executive. While the presidential and key secretary positions appear settled, the race for the vice presidency is heating up between two seasoned contenders: Jethro Ndzingane from Green Spears Darts Team and Siyabonga Dlamini from Umlilo Darts Team. This competition promises to ignite passion and enthusiasm within the darts community, as both candidates boast extensive experience and a fervent commitment to the sport.
The elections are set to take place within the next 30 days, with the specific date and venue to be confirmed shortly. The outgoing executive has made significant strides during its tenure, including implementation of a five-year strategic plan, which is a blueprint for the future development of darts in Eswatini.

Successful hosting of the Region V Championships by the outgoing Board also showcased the nation’s capabilities. Another achievement includes podium finishes in all regional games, demonstrating the growing competitiveness of Eswatini’s teams. The association further attracted additional sponsors. There were notable new partnerships with Boab Investments and Theo Brands alongside the main sponsor, Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC).
The outgoing Board further celebrated the introduction of more women into the sport and the formation of the first-ever all-ladies team. An expert feels the unopposed nominations reflect a united front in leadership. “With the achievements of the outgoing executive as a foundation, the future of darts in Eswatini looks bright, and all eyes will be on the upcoming elections to see how this dynamic sport continues to evolve,” shared the expert.
