MBABANE - Justice Figuareido’s market value has increased by E5 million, now standing at an impressive E8 million.

As the only international player from Eswatini in the lucrative Betway Premiership, Figuareido currently plays for Richards Bay FC in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). According to the latest statistics from transfermarkt.com, the former Denver Sundowns star has experienced a significant rise in his value over the years. His journey began with Denver Sundowns, where he was valued at approximately E850 000 in the 2018/19 season. He then moved to Maritzburg United, where his value increased to E2.5 million during his time there from 2019 to 2021.

After a period with TS Galaxy FC, his value remained steady at E2.5 million before joining Richards Bay FC on July 1, 2023, where he was valued at E3 million. Now, with his current market value soaring to E8 million, Figuareido has established himself as a talented centre-forward, demonstrating his skill and potential on the field.

FIFA-accredited agent Dingane Maduma commented on Figaureido’s impressive rise in the football world, highlighting not only his abilities but also the increasing recognition of Eswatini players in the competitive South African football landscape. “This is a significant achievement for the player. He has worked extremely hard to reach this point, and credit goes to those managing him,” he said.

Maduma noted that Figaureido left in 2019 to pursue a professional football career and has since become one of the most talked-about wingers in the PSL.“It serves as motivation for upcoming youngsters: stay humble and respect the game.” Figaureido’s recent contributions include providing an assist during Richards Bay’s 2-0 victory over Soweto Giants Kaizer Chiefs on March 16, 2025.He curled a free-kick into the box, allowing Fezile Gcaba to head in the opening goal in the 4th minute. Yanela Mbuthuma added a second goal in the 72nd minute, helping the team rise from 15th to 11th place, moving them further from the relegation zone.

Figaureido has consistently received playing time for both his club and national team, making him a regular for both. Since 2019, he has scored 19 goals, including 15 in the South African league across his stints with Durban City, Mbombela United, TS Galaxy, Cape Town All Stars and Richards Bay. Additionally, he has netted three goals in domestic cups, including the Nedbank Cup and Telkom Knockout, along with one goal for Sihlangu during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) preliminary match qualifiers against Somalia on March 20, 2024.
