MBABANE – Royal Leopard are, by far, the most dominant side this season, remaining unbeaten in all major competitions.

The team, coached by Edwin Matsebula, have played 18 league fixtures, securing all three points in 12 of those games, while drawing six, resulting in a total of 42 points. This tally leaves them just two points ahead of Green Mamba.

The police outfit also finds themselves in a favourable position to earn E2 450 000 for winning both the Ingwenyama Cup, if they beat Moneni Pirates, as well as the league, overcoming strong competition from the likes of Green Mamba, Nsingizini Hotspurs and Young Buffaloes in a closely-contested title race.

Player of the Week:

Khaya Dlamini – M. Sea Birds
Khaya Dlamini was nothing short of outstanding in front of goal for Manzini Sea Birds during their fixture against a struggling Madlenya side. Dlamini’s hat-trick effectively sealed the game for the Sea Birds, allowing them to leapfrog Ezulwini United and claim seventh place in the MTN Premier League standings with 24 points. The goalscorer completed a brace in the first half of the encounter, netting two goals just nine minutes apart, with strikes in the 20th and 29th minutes. He completed his scoring in the fixture 11 minutes after the second half began, finding the net again in the 56th minute at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground.
Coach of the Week:

Edwin Matsebula – R. Leopard
Edwin Matsebula, the Coach of Royal Leopard, has maintained an unbeaten run this season, with his most recent victory showcasing the team’s dominance in the league. Royal Leopard hosted Ezulwini United at Simunye Stadium on Saturday, where the Matsebula-coached side scored an impressive number of goals. After a fairly contested first half, in which they led 2-1 at the break, renewed instructions from Matsebula saw the team step up their performance, resulting in an astonishing five additional goals and a final score of 7-1.
