MBABANE – A major boost has been announced for the KFC Eswatini Hockey Premier League team, Mhlambanyatsi Lions.

The Eswatini Hockey Association (EHA) has confirmed that Kitwe Hydraulics is officially on board as the sponsor of Mhlambanyatsi Lions, a prominent hockey club in the KFC Eswatini Premier Hockey League.

This partnership marks an exciting milestone for both the club and the development of hockey in Eswatini.

The EHA expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Kitwe Hydraulics for believing in their vision and supporting the advancement of hockey in the region.

In a statement shared on their official Facebook page, EHA highlighted that the support from Kitwe Hydraulics would enable them to reach new heights.

enhancing

This acknowledgment underscores the significance of corporate sponsorship in enhancing the sporting landscape in Eswatini.

It was noted that the EHA plays a crucial role in connecting sponsors with various teams.

They facilitate these relationships by providing clubs with the necessary sponsors who, in turn, contribute essential resources such as playing equipment, kits and other forms of support.

This sponsorship not only elevates the Mhlambanyatsi Lions Hockey Club, but also promotes the overall growth of hockey within the community.

successful

“As we embark on this exciting journey with Kitwe Hydraulics, we look forward to a successful season ahead, filled with teamwork, sportsmanship and the spirit of hockey,” the statement read.

It is also worth noting that the Mhlambanyatsi Lions had a very successful season opener for both the ladies’ and men’s teams.

The men played their opening league fixture against Mbabane Buffaloes, achieving a 4-1 victory over four quarters.

The Mbabane Buffaloes men’s team, however, managed to secure a win against Tinavo Mushavi’s side, Bhejane. Bhejane Ladies had a much better outing, beating Mbabane Buffaloes 5-1.

The ladies’ side was equally impressive, winning their opening fixture against Manzini Eagles with a score of 7-3.
