ST MARY’S HIGH, LOBAMBA PRIMARY SCHOOLS SHINE
MBABANE – St Mary’s High School and Lobamba National Primary School distinguished themselves in the opening round of the EFA Under-13 and Under-19 Girls’ Schools Football Programme.
The inaugural day of the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) PC Systems Under-19 and Under-13 Girls’ Schools Football Programme proved to be a resounding success, with nearly 20 schools participating in the competition across different venues, two days ago. St Mary’s High School made a striking impression, clinching a commanding 7-1 victory over their local rivals, Lobamba National High School.
In the Under-13 girls’ competition, Lobamba National Primary School also shone, delivering a stellar 5-0 win against Lobamba Primary School, maintaining a perfect clean sheet. This exciting initiative is being supported by PC Systems, which has partnered with the EFA to sponsor the Under-19 and Under-13 Girls’ Schools Football Programme with an annual contribution of E51 000.
This sponsorship, which will run until 2027, was announced just weeks before the competition began on Wednesday at the EFA Technical Centre.
The competitive spirit and high standard of play displayed by the schools on the opening day have sparked enthusiasm about what the remainder of the competition holds. With the backing of PC Systems and the unwavering commitment of the EFA, this initiative promises to nurture the future football stars of Eswatini.
