’LANDERS, ‘BUCS’ STARS OUT OF ‘Y’ELLO’ SUNDAY
MBABANE - As crucial matches loom on Sunday, both Mbabane Highlanders and Moneni Pirates have encountered significant setbacks with the suspension of one key player each.
These players have been sidelined for the week 19 fixtures after accumulating three yellow cards, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the 2024/25 MTN League. The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) confirmed yesterday that, as per clause 6.2 (a), the players will be unavailable for their next match. The headline for the suspensions is ‘Bull’s fullback Delisa Gama. Gama received a booking in their previous match against Sisonkhe, bringing his total to three bookings, which consequently rules him out of Sunday’s clash against Young Buffaloes.
This match will precede the encounter between Mbabane Swallows and Pirates. However, while Caleb ‘No-Nonsense’ Ngwenya’s side welcome back Lindani ‘Rio’ Matsenjwa from a two-match suspension, wing-attacker Mazwi Sihlongonyane will be watching from the sidelines.

Sihlongonyane has been instrumental in their attacking play, particularly when pressing forward and making runs into the box. Additionally, both Madlenya and Ezulwini United have one player each ruled out of this week’s action. Notably, United’s second-choice goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, is suspended for the next two official matches. In a related development, the National First Division (NFD) has recorded its first three-match suspension.
Samkeliso Mndzebele of Masundvwini Royal Swallows will be unavailable for three matches. “Samkeliso Mndzebele of Masundvwini Royal Swallows FC is suspended from participating in the next three official matches to be played by his team,” stated Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pat Vilakati. Another player from Swallows, Andiswa Dlamini, joins the suspension list, along with one player each from Denver Sundowns, Malanti Chiefs and Magwanyana.
