Now I want the top scorer award - Taribo'

Mbabane – When the Fixedfone Cup began, he said his focus was on his team winning the Cup than him winning the top scorer award, but now, Mbabane Swallows goal-a-game striker, Mfanafuthi ‘Taribo’ Bhembe will fight for the tournament’s golden boot.

Bhembe said it is true that at first his focus was on helping Swallows lift the Cup, but he has changed focus and is now talking about the golden boot.

"I have to make sure that I at least win the top goalscorer award now and I will fight to see that happen. But football being what it is, I won’t be disappointed if I end up not getting it. Such things always happen in this game," he said.

Mbabane Swallows will take on their nemeses Manzini Wanderers on January 1, 2012 in the losers’ finals and the game will start at 2pm at Somhlolo National Stadium.

They were booted out of this lucrative tournament by Green Mamba at Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday while Manzini Wanderers were thrashed by Malanti Chiefs on the same day at Somhlolo National Stadium by 4-2.

Malanti Chiefs red hot striker, Nhlanhla ‘Mshengu’ Kunene, is also a stronger contender of this award.

He is currently locked at five goals each with ‘Taribo’ and should they end up with equal number of goals they will share the award which comes with E10 000 cash.
