I am staying at Rovers - Zidane'
MBABANE – Despite the rumours that Mhlamba-nyatsi Rovers midfielder Lwazi ‘Zidane’ Maziya is quitting the team, the player has insisted that he is staying put with the club.
He said so far there were no offers for him and his wish was to continue playing for the Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini-led side.
“Rovers are my home team and I’m confident that I will stay with them even this season. There are no offers that have been forwarded to me and I wish it could just stay like that,” he said.
The Sihlangu player is linked with teams like Manzini Wanderers, Mbabane Highlanders and Royal Leopards.
When questioned about his visits to the Police College where Royal Leopards was based, Maziya said he had friends at the college and no officials are intending to recruit him.
“I just want to assure Rovers supporters that I’ll be donning the blue and white kit when the season resumes. So far I’m not interested in joining any local club,” he said.
