Yuki strikes it rich!

MBABANE – After what seemed an eternity, Swazi international, Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina finally realised his long cherished dream, of donning the black and white’ of South Africa’s Orlando Pirates when he began training with the Soweto giants at Johannesburg Stadium yesterday.
Masina is expected to sign on the dotted line a three year contract with the ‘Soweto Buccaneers’ tomorrow in a move that will see former Black Leopards winger, Rudzani Ramadzuli moving to SuperSport United in a swoop deal. The move to the Buccaneers will reportedly net the Sihlangu midfield-cum-striker not less than E300 000 in signing on fees.
Pirates’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Floyd Mbhele confirmed that Masina began training with the ‘Bucs’ yesterday and he will sign a new contract tomorrow once everything had been finalised.
“Yes, he will swap with Ramadzuli but he will only sign either tomorrow but most likely Thursday. It’s a done deal and umnaka began training with us today,” he said.
Mbhele said there were just a few loose ends that need to be tied up before a public announcement is made but “it’s almost a done deal and that’s why he began training with us.”
Asked on whether Dane Klate is another player to cross over from the Pretoria based side to the Soweto Buccaneers, Mbhele said Klate’s issue was being handled directly by Orlando Pirates boss, Dr Irvin ‘Iron Duke’ Khoza, who could not be reached for comment as his cell phone was constantly on the voicemail mode for the better part of the afternoon yesterday.
Reached for comment, Yuki also confirmed that he began training with Pirates and will sign on the dotted line tomorrow.
“Yes, I started training with Pirates today and will sign on Thursday when the swap deal has been concluded but I am happy to finally get the big break. I will take the chance with both hands and work hard because Pirates is a big club. I know the challenges I am facing and will work even harder,” Masina said.
Masina is expected to make his first appearance for the ‘Bucs’ during the Vodacom Challenge Cup on Saturday at Peter Mokaba in Polokwane against visiting English side, Manchester City.
