MANZINI – Mbabane Swallows acting CEO, Sibusiso Manana, said withdrawing captain Mfanafuthi ‘Taribo’ Bhembe in yesterday’s cup final was a football decision.

He said they had not yet made up their minds on fielding him, despite the fact that the FIFA Disciplinary Code had given him the all clear to play.

"We did our research and we decided not to take any risks because we wanted to avoid unnecessary protests.

"It was a football decision, and fortunately it paid off," he said.

Meanwhile, Manana said they were happy with the trophy, but there was still more that they needed to do.

"We are preparing for Africa and our aim is to conquer Swaziland and also play well in Africa," he said.
