Bl. Swallows sign ex-Vietnam’s Quang Nam FC striker, Attram
MBABANE –Ambitious National First Division League outfit, Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows have made what stands out to be their biggest catch yet in former Vietnam’s Quang Nam FC striker Kwame Attram.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian forward is already in the country and was expected to start training with his new teammates yesterday afternoon in readiness for the team’s series of friendly games next weekend.
He will be with the team until January next year, as he hopes to secure a move to the money spinning South African Premier Soccer League (PSL).
Interviewed yesterday, the soft-spoken player said his target in the country is to score at le-ast 20 goals and help Black Swallows gain promotion to the elite league.
“I am ready to help the team gain promotion to the elite league. I have been made aware that they are an ambitious side and I am looking forward to helping them gain promotion. I can confess that I am not sure of the standard of the game here but I am ready to do my best to help the club,” he said.
Attram has also played football in Egypt where he was in the books of Wadi Delga. He has also been to Burkina Faso and has also played in his native Ghana. In Egypt, he was allowed to move following the political unrest in that country.
Black Swallows director, Charles Matsebula confirmed that Attram is their number one signing target, as the team was eager to gain promotion to the elite league for the first time in their history.
“We are doing everything possible to ensure that we win promotion to the big league next season. We are going to sign good players for us to make our dream a reality. I have no doubt that Attram is a good player, who will add value to the team.
“The good thing is that he has his own clearance, which means it will not be a problem registering him for the new season. The team’s technical bench will however assess him first before we know where we stand with regard to his intended joining the team,” he said.
