MBABANE – Thousands of football fanatics and members of the public will be expected to cascade the Somhlolo National Stadium this Sunday for the final phase of this year’s Swazi Telecom Charity Cup games.

It will be a day when capital city giants and last season’s treble kings Mbabane Swallows will be up against three forces sides being their semi-final opponents Young Buffaloes, Royal Leopard and Green Mamba who square up against the other in the first semi-final match.

Out of these four teams, only one will be crowned champions by the end of the day but who? That remains a mystery until Sunday afternoon. Below, a brief analysis of some of the interesting duels to look forward to is presented. Enjoy as Itak’seta Mo with great football action and music entertainment!

Royal Leopard vs Green Mamba 9am

Mduduzi ‘Juries’ Gama (Leopard left winger) vs. Lawrence Mncina (G. Mamba right back) Without any doubt, these are two different but very talented players who have both stamped their authority in their teams. Juries Gama is one talented winger who is very quick and tricky with his left footwork.

If on song, he can single-handedly spearhead Leopard’s success as he thrives on taking on the opposition using his incredible footwork. The plus for him is that he can also score great goals that can also decide a game – remember the cracker he scored against Mhlambanyatsi Rovers in the SwaziBank Cup final two years ago, what a stunner! The ability to deliver quality cross into the opposition’s danger area is another of his strengths which increases his team’s chances to score.

However, the pint-sized winger will meet his equal in former Mhlambanyatsi Rovers’ winger-turned-right-back Lawrence Mncina. Mncina finished last season on top of his game probably because of the arrival of his coach and ‘father’ Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini who got the whole club gelling.
It is his ability to read the game that has made him a regular figure in the Green Mamba defence as he is often at the right place and at the right time.

While he is a right back, he also enjoys surging forward with some neat touch football and can be deadly with crosses and his acute passing of the ball. He just has everything to match Juries come Sunday.
Verdict: Lawrence Mncina to win duel.
