MBABANE - Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntimane captained the last Royal Leopard team to feature in the Charity Cup in 2007, but the outing was unsuccessful as they lost out to eventual champions Mbabane Highlanders who were coached by the departed Zambian born mentor Francis Banda.

On Sunday, the former Simunye F.C midfielder will be the man barking instructions from the dug-out at Somhlolo National Stadium, leading the police side. He will no doubt be the youngest coach to lead a team in the competition’s history when his team face Green Mamba coached by new comer in the competition Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini.

ATTENDANCE: The team recorded a full house at training, and Ntimane is also looking forward to adding new signing Leonard Bongso who is expected to receive his papers on time for the game. There is also Sizwe Khumalo from Manzini Sundowns who may also debut for the team especially if they make the final.
CASUALTY WARD: The team’s casualty ward is almost empty as all the players are available save for Siboniso ‘Rocco’ Malambe and Musa Sikhondze.

MOOD: Royal Leopard are a team that are always buzzing with confidence. A team that has captain Mxolisi Stopper Mthethwa, Absalom Dlamini and Mphikeleli ‘Rabbo’ Dlamini lacks no motivation. They are psychologically ready for the task at hand.
TRAINING: The advantage of having played twice in the past two weeks is beginning to show for Nuro’s charges. The team is now aware of the expectations, and all that the coach did was to improve tactically and patch up the grey areas physically bearing in mind the fact that they are bound to play two games in one day in the event they reach the final.

“We have enough players to cope in the event we play two games on the day, and while we will be going all out to fight for victory, we have not lost sight of the fact that we are still in preseason. We, therefore, have to give all the players a chance,” he said.

COACH’S COMMENTS: “I would like to thank the commissioner, directors, management, players and supporters for ensuring that we play in the competition. We are ready to face any team, because we only respect our opponents, but we fear no one. We need our supporters as player number 12 on the day, the same way they did against Manzini Wanderers.”

CAPTAIN SPEAKS: (Mxolisi Stopper Mthethwa)
We are preparing well, it is going according to plans. We are gelling now.
Our main aim this season is to win the cup so whoever will try to stand in our way will see what happens. We urge the supporters to come in numbers, because the main beneficiaries here are the underpreviledged. Leopard will be dishing out the best football ever seen in years.

PRO’S CORNER: It is a family day, people should bring their families. We hope that all the teams will accept defeat.  As a team we want to win this one, it has been a while since we won this one.
We have set high objectives and we are happy with what we see from the players and technical bench.
