MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers have finally smoked the peace pipe with suspended midfielder Xolani ‘Papi’ Sikhondze, and the player has been recalled.

This publication exclusively disclosed on Tuesday that the hub giants have had a change of heart regarding the player, and in a fruitful meeting yesterday, the player officially returned to the club. He is expected to join the rest of the players this afternoon.
The club’s General Manager Mduduzi Mabila confirmed the matter and stated that all parties were happy with the outcome of the meeting. The player was represented by his father in the meeting with the club management.

“After a two-hour long meeting between the club and Xolani ‘Papi’ Sikhondze, the club is glad to announce that we have decided to bury the hatchet and work together again. The player is back with the club and is willing to follow the club’s disciplinary code like the rest of the players,” Mabila said.

He said the player has demonstrated his desire to serve the club with diligence and that all grey areas have been sorted out.
“It should be noted that the player stated his side and the team also stressed its objectives. At the end of the day the parties agreed to start afresh and work towards helping the club reach its desired goals,” Mabila further said.
The player had been put on transfer, together with his younger brother Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze who is on the verge of rejoining his former club Mbabane Swallows.

“We have not met Pupu as he is still at school, and I must state that two teams Manzini Sundowns and Mbabane Swallows did make enquiries about the player. However, nothing formal has reached the club,” Mabila continued.
The meeting came just after the player was spotted once at Mbabane Highlanders training on Tuesday.
