MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers prodigal son Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze is back training with the hub giants.

The former Sihlangu attacking midfielder resumed training with the rest of his teammate’s yesterday morning. ‘Pupu’ was alongside his elder brother Xolani ‘Papi, put on transfer by the hub giant’s management three weeks ago.

Sikhondze senior started training with the team last week after successful talks with the club together with his father, while ‘Pupu’s transfer to Mbabane Swallows was blocked by his father Clement last week.

Wanderers coach Kenny Ndlazi confirmed both players’ presence at yesterday morning’s training session.

“All the players are training with the team including ‘Pupu’ as ‘Papi’ started last week.  I am happy that all the players are available and all working hard in a bid to win their places in the team for the season,” he said.

The South African coach said he was still monitoring former Moneni Pirates left back Elias Makako as he has already recommended  the signing of Maxwell ‘CK’ Marfo and Yannick Ockoley.

Meanwhile, ‘Pupu’ could not be reached for comment as his mobile phone was switched off.
