MTN League kicks off on Thursday
MBABANE – Bitter rivals Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers will next Sunday co-host the MTN League grand opening double header at Somhlolo National Stadium.
The hub giants will play Swazi Telecom Charity Cup champions Royal Leopard at 1:30pm to curtain raise for the main match between the defending champions against Malanti Chiefs starting at 3:30pm.
According to the fixtures released by the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) CEO Nqobile Magagula, the league games will kick start the season with a double header on Thursday night at the national stadium. Umbe-lebele Jomo Cosmos will be facing another rookie RSSC United with Moneni Pirates against Green Mamba in the last game of the day.
Another double header will be on Friday night were Young Buffaloes and Manzini Sea Birds will be co-hosting Manzini Sundowns and Midas City respectively. Maga-gula said the MTN National First Division games will not start on the same weekend of the elite league but the following weekend.
