MANZINI – Manzini Wanderers are now trying all they can to land former Jomo Cosmos and Sihlangu striker Phinda ‘Phindrix’ Dlamini albeit on a loan deal from South Africa’s Black Leopards.

The hub giants’ Managing Director Mduduzi ‘Tsotsi’ Mabila yesterday confirmed the player was now destined to Black Leopards but they had not given up on him yet.

“What is happening now is that Black Leopards have made him an offer we can’t match even if we wanted as Wanderers. But chances are we can still get him on loan till January,” he explained.
He said Wanderers were now trying to negotiate a loan deal for the player at least until the window period in January. “I met with Phinda on Friday night and will be meeting him again soon before we physically meet Black Leopards over a loan deal,” he said.

He said the player was currently recuperating from a thigh muscle injury hence they had to agree on that first but once they had concluded talks with the striker, they would approach his team.
“As you know I’m also Phinda’s manager and agent so since he’s still recovering from the injury, we want Leopards to loan him to us so he stays fit and tries to regain form before joining them,” he explained.

He said if all goes well, the deal could be concluded soon as they would be meeting Black Leopards this week.
