NELSPRUIT–Manzini Wanderers defender Thulani Notyhawe is on the verge of signing at South Africa’s National First Division side Sivutsa Stars.

The South-Africa born defender who played for the hub giants for six months last season was training with Wanderers for the past two weeks as he had verbally agreed to re-join them.
He returned to South Africa to join Stars who were playing an international practice match against Manzini Sundowns at Impala Rugby Club Sports Ground outside Nelspruit on Saturday. He watched the game from the stands.

The player had claimed that he was going home in Johannesburg when he left the maroon and white ensemble earlier on the day. However, he made a stop at the match with the hope that he would feature in the friendly.

Interim Sivutsa coach Macdo-nald Makhubedu, in a post match interview after his side’s 2-0 win over Sundowns said they were interested in the services of the experienced defender.
“We’ve invited No-tyhawe to the team as he is a good player. We might sign him,” he said.

Wanderers PRO Lington Gule sounded shocked that the former South Africa’s Premiership side University of Pretoria player could not come back to the country.

“We were in the process of registering Notyhawe with the team. He had only asked to go home.  We’re surprised that he is about to sign at another team,” he said.
The left back had left the country in Ja-nuary this year for South Africa’s Golden Arrows.
