We have a score to settle with Leopard

“God grant me the serenity to accept all the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference”, there goes the serenity prayer I wish all Weslians would pray one day while bearing in mind that no matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life, someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

With those words I greet all Weslians in the Kingdom.

Congra ‘Bra Kenny’

As a team we would like to congratulate our coach Kenny Ndlazi for his recent appointment into the SAFA technical committee. We feel so honoured and proud to have a mentor like him who is also respected and recognised in his home country, South Africa.  We know what this man has achieved in football and we are not surprised that he will now play a huge role in leading South Africa especially Bafana Bafana to the ‘Promised Land’ just like you are leading us too.  Chelsea has Jose Mourinho, Arsenal has Arsene Wenger, and Man United had Sir Alex Ferguson. In South Africa, Orlando Pirates had Sir Rudi Kroll, Kaizer Chiefs has Stuart Baxter and here at home we have Bra Kenny.

These are coaches who are respected world over and Kenny Ndlazi has the potential to be respected in the whole of Africa.
The coach will also leave for Brazil late in October to attend a coaching course. As a club we have no reason to worry that our coach will be away for almost three weeks because he is going there to equip himself and the club will immensely benefit when he comes back. We also are a team that encourages and support the upgrading of one’s self especially academically.
We hope Mr Ndlazi will learn the Samba in Brazil and that when he returns we shall play the Brazilian style. All the best coach and in you we believe.

Bye bye ‘Pupu’

Giving up does not always mean you are weak, sometimes it means you are strong and smart enough to let go.
There are things we do not want to happen but we need to accept, things we do not want to know but have to learn and people we cannot live without but have to let go.
One thing I have seen in life is that sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together. If a person wants to be part of this family (Manzini Wanderers Family) they will make an obvious effort to do so.

We shall never preserve a space in our hearts for people who do not make an effort to be part of us.
The team understands that life is about 10% of what happens to it and 90% of how it reacts to it. We know at some point we will have to let go of some of our own, the people we love but if that is for the betterment of the team we shall gladly let people go.

There will never be a day where we shall stand on a player’s way when he thinks it’s time to go because we understand that a change of environment is sometimes good for some people but what we want and appreciate is that people should not give us a headache if they want to go.
Maweseli Pupu is gone; his chapter with the club has been closed. He belongs to Manzini Sundowns now.
We forgive him for all the sleepless nights he caused us, for the insults we had to endure because of him. We also want to apologise where we did not do right by him because we are not an immaculate team. We wish him well in his new family.

Sunday’s match

On Sunday Maweseli if the gods of football will smile at the PLS we shall have a date with Royal Leopard in the Grand Opening of the MTN Premier League 2013/2014 season.  I do not want to talk about this game but I want to make it clear that we did not in any way had anything to do with us playing in the Grand Opening as some teams have questioned that. We do not give a damn about playing in grand openings or grand closings such that if we can even play in the morning on that day then those who want to be in the grand opening be allowed to play at noon.

We really do not care. People should learn that some battles are not worth fighting for. As a team we have a score to settle against Royal Leopard, yes we need the three points but most importantly is for us to restore our pride, dignity and that feeling of revenge will be nice. Maweseli remember you cannot change what you refuse to confront.
