MBABANE – Elite League returnees RSSC United have made their biggest catch so far in former Mbabane Highlanders’ goalkeeper Sitali Mulife.

The Zambian goalkeeper started training with RSSC last Monday and yesterday concluded a deal with the sugar-belt side. According to reports from the RSSC camp, Mulife has agreed to a season deal. “He’s been around with the club since last week Monday and looks in good shape hence he was offered a season’s contract,” said a source. The player when called also reaffirmed this information saying he was pleased to be back in the country to play football at RSSC.

“I started training with RSSC last Monday and will be signing with them today (yesterday) for a season,” he confirmed. He said the club made him an offer after the technical bench led by his fellow countryman Manfred Chabi-nga recommended his signing. However, Mulife did not reveal any figures involved even though he was also offered a signing-on fee.

“That’s confidential between me and RSSC more so because they’re also trying to sign other players,” he said. Meanwhile, the team’s spokesperson Zame-kile Mamba also confirmed Mulife was now their player.

“We’re currently working on his papers otherwise he’s ours for season,” she said.
She explained that Mulife was offered a season-long contract which was also renewable depending on negotiations. Other players she said have been signed are former Manzini Sea Birds’ Sazi Masuku and another from the Lubombo Super League.
