Nine Buffaloes players in army
MBABANE – Nine Young Buffaloes players have officially joined the Swaziland Umbutfo Defence Force (USDF).
According to a source the nine players are namely Nhlanhla ‘Mshengu’ Kunene, Nhlanhla ‘Magatuka’ Dla-mini, Samkelo Lushaba, Timothy ‘Timo’ Mathonsi, Mpe-ndulo ‘Baiano’ Kunene, Bheki Shongwe, Sifiso ‘Junior’ Mazibuko, Banele Dlamini and Wandile ‘Skosh’ Shabangu. The players started the military training on We-dnesday at Mbuluzi Barracks.
Another, players who is reportedly to be amongst the recruits are Manzini Wanderers left back Be-rtram Dlamini and Moneni Pirates right back who passed during the recruitment process. “There are only nine players from Buffaloes who have joined the army this week so those who are not part of the list might join in the next recruitment,” a source said.
Young Buffaloes PRO Nhla-nhla Gwebu was reluctant to confirm the number of players who have joined the army. He said this was good for the players but it was going to disturb the team’s progress.

“The players have to go through the military training so they might not be available at times for the team activities. However, we do have other equally good players in the team who can do the job in their absence,” he said.
Gwebu said they are still on the verge of signing the duo of Mbabane Highlanders Dumsani Mdluli and Mbabane Swallows Phinda Ginindza.
