Life is like riding a bicycle. You don’t fall unless you plan to stop peddling. Greetings dearest Luma Nyoka supporters, welcome to your favourite read.

We were initially set to play our MTN Premier League opener against Moneni Pirates last Thursday night but the game was later pushed to today before eventually being cancelled alongside all football fixtures by the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) to pave way for all of us to go and partake in the ongoing elections. One hopes that all football stakeholders including players managed to utilise this time to vote for their men and women.

To all our supporters who are anxiously waiting to see their team in the field of play, we wish to bring to their attention that we are resuming our preparations tomorrow and we’ll intensify our methods and means to make sure that we do well this season. We encourage all of them to rally behind the team this season like never before; we need to paint the stadiums green and white, sing our jovial songs and the players will be ignited to deliver the expected results. Judging from the team’s commitment and dedication at our training base, I do believe we are a force to be reckoned with this season – no doubt, Luma Nyoka!

PLS/Ultimate Home Cup

This coming weekend, according to the detailed season’s soccer calendar presented by the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) during the organi-sation’s recent AGM will see the kickoff of the PLS/Ultimate Home Cup.
This tournament, which is set to resume on Saturday, will see the final on September 29, 2013.
This is another trophy that is missing in our trophy cabinet which then gives us the zeal and determination to exert our focus and energy towards making all necessary preparations to do well in this tournament. We, therefore, invite all our supporters to come support the team when the games start to support their team all the way. We have a balanced and equally capable squad to do the job and bring it home, Luma Nyoka!

New kids on the block

As our preparations for the new season gather ground it is best to report to our supporters that the team has beefed up certain positions with a view of aligning its arsenal and venom for the season’s challenge. Nigerian striker Solomon Oladele has joined our striking force and Manzini Sundowns shot-stopper Sandanezwe Mthabela has joined our goalkeeping department alongside RSSC FC left-winger Muhle Shiba, Nhlangano Sun’s duo of right-back Ndumiso Dlamini and left-back Mthobisi Mhlanga.

We are positive that these players will add value to the team and can encourage them to work hard to ensure that the Green Mamba venom is more lethal and be part of the history making green and white ensemble. Welcome home good people, hard work, determination, discipline and teamwork are the cornerstone traits for success.

Castle Premier Challenge: Let the games begin…

The Swaziland Beverages’ sponsored Castle Premier Challenge Top 8 tournament will kick off on September 15, 2013. It’s a winner takes all affair here as the eventual champions will take home the staggering E500 000 on offer. In this tournament we take on Manzini Sundowns and judging from the nature of the tournament we need to make all the necessary preparations to make sure that we make a remarkable mark in this tournament in its maiden appearance.

Our supporters are, therefore, encouraged to come in numbers to support the tournament’s roadshows, trophy parades and the initial games.
This will surely give the sponsor the courage to continue the partnership with the game of the people, Beware it Bites..!
