SWALLOWS DESPERATE TO HAVE TARIBO BACK FOR TOUGH GAMES

MBABANE – MTN Premier League defending champions, Mbabane Swallows are working around the clock to have talismanic forward Mfanafuthi ‘Taribo’ Bhembe appear in their next league game against Young Buffaloes.

The red and white glamour giants will host the army side this week in a grudge league game that could be played on Thursday.
Bhembe is already in South Africa where he is getting ready to settle down and open a new chapter in his life after seeking permission to concentrate on a new job in that country. Swallows are however desperate to have the player available for some of the tough games.

“He is a Swallows player, always been, always will. Just like the rest of the team members he is still contracted to the team and is one of our players. There is no secret in declaring that we would very much love to have him with us if the opportunity avails itself.
“We have however given him the permission to pursue his career and we will not pressurise him in any way,” said team Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sibusiso Manana last night.

Bhembe could however not be reached for a comment at the time of going to press, as his mobile phone was apparently switched off for the better part of the day.
The player, one of Swallows’ most trusted servants over the years has notably been struggling with his form in the new season and has failed to win a regular place in the star studded ensemble.

He recently crossed the line though when he allegedly skipped the team’s camp on the eve of a game against Manzini Wanderers, something that prompted the Mbabane giants to charge him with misconduct.
He is however still a valuable member of the team that will be representing the country in the CAF Champions League in about two months.
