Maseru – Harris ‘Madze’ Bulunga, who has just been confirmed as the full-time coach at Sihlangu has embarked on a series of international friendly matches in Maseru against Likuena Likuena.

It will be the first outing for the technical bench that has been boosted by the addition of Nyanga ‘Crocks’ Hlophe as assistant coach with Sipho ‘Shilton’ Dube the goalkeeper coach.
There will be nothing much at stake for both teams than to test their players ahead of the 2015 qualifiers as well as the COSAFA Senior Challenge.

The coach has shown faith in the team he used against Bafana Bafana and Mozambique late last year and this year.
The two games will provide him an opportunity to test all the players, but in all outings he will require the leadership qualities of Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze to transport the team to its first victory in over a year. Sihlangu last tasted victory in October 2012 in Maseru in a series of three international matches against the team from the Mountain Kingdom.

The Mbabane Swallows flying winger has gained valuable international experience during the CAF Champions League games against Zambia’s powerhouse Nkana F.C. He, alongside his teammates Wonder Nhleko, the on form Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu will add steel to the team.
Then there is creative midfielder Mxolisi ‘The General’ Lukhele who is currently playing a game of his life at his Moneni Pirates side.

At the back Bulunga will pin his hopes on Sifiso Mabila Sanele Mkhweli, Sifiso Maseko and Siyabonga ‘Msholozi’ Nkambule. The coach will give Nhlanhla Gwebu a nod in goals given his newly-found form at his new team Moneni Pirates.

The first match tonight will be crucial for Bulunga and his team. His team needs to start scoring goals, if it is to finally win a game. In the absence of Sabelo Sikhali Ndzinisa, the team would require Sandile Hlatshwako and Barry Steenkamp to come to the party. They have a chance to prove their worth at this level ahead of the qualifiers.
