MALANTI SET TO LOSE SIHLE NDABA
MBABANE – Malanti Chiefs are set to lose flying left winger Sihle Ndaba at the end of the current season.
The player’s agent Abel ‘Chaklas’ Shongwe who also manages Tebogo Motale and Mbabane Swallows’ towering defender Talent Maposa has disclosed that all three have offers in South Africa from undisclosed teams. He said Ndaba has also attracted interest from two local big teams when his contract expires at the end of June.
“Sihle has his focus in South Africa where two Premier League teams have made enquiries about his services, but we have also been contacted by two teams in Swaziland whose names I cannot disclose as the player is still contracted to Malanti Chiefs,” he said.
He said it was a given that Maposa and Motale would also get an opportunity to be assessed by clubs in South Africa and once again he said was not going to reveal their identities lest he jeopardised the move. Malanti Chiefs Chairman Dumisani Gumede said at the moment they were not focused on contract renewal, but the club was aiming for a respectable finish in the league.
“It has not been a good season for us, and all we are focusing on now is to at least make the top four in the league. Players’ contracts is something we might consider later,” said Gumede.
Ndaba has been a household name in Malanti Chiefs colours since his return last season. He has been key in the team’s fine run last season and early this season where they have been runners-up in four competitions which included the SwaziBank Cup, MTN League, Trade Fair Cup and Castle Premier Challenge Cup.
