NOBUHLE PLACED 8TH IN EUROPEAN TOUR DAY ONE
MBABANE – History making local professional lady golfer and the only Swazi golfer to play in the Ladies European Tour (LET), Nobuhle Dlamini had a positive start in her first LET season.
She is currently playing in the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.
Yesterday was day one of the tournament and the shining star who keeps flying the Swazi flag high among the rest in world golf managed a three-under-par to finish 69 and finish at 8th place.
She is tied on position eight with 69 points with 10 other golfers after round one.
Meanwhile in the lead is England’s seasoned golfer Rebecca Hudson who once won four titles in the European Ladies Tour season, three coming in 2008.
She birdied two of the last three holes to grab the clubhouse lead midway through the first round, opening with a five-under-par 66 to lead by one over Frenchwoman Sophie Giquel-Bettan, with England’s Sophie Walker four-under-par after 12 holes in the afternoon.
Defending champion Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand, England’s Charley Hull and Laura Davies were all in the clubhouse on three-under-par.
