MBABANE – The hordes of Mbabane Highlanders’ supporters can heave a sigh of relief as club Chairman Bheki ‘Rubber’ Simelane is not moving an inch from his position.

Speculation was rife he would step down after securing a business contract for a certain project in Nelspruit which his company BPL Communications has been given four years to complete.
The deal requires his full-time attention hence, it calls for him to relocate.

However, Simelane who returned to the country on Thursday from signing the agreement in Nelspruit has cleared the air on his position.
“Everything that has been reported is true as I have the job and signed the deal but it will not affect my position in the team. It is said there are many ways of killing a cat and that means I’ll have a way to do it,” he said.
He said already plans were underway to counter his full-time relocation to Nelspruit as he was certain about the deal and its requirements.

“It will not be a problem at all. Our people must fear not for I am available and still committed to achieving my dream and vision for the club they asked me to revive. If I were to leave or step down, the supporters and patrons would be first to know,” he explained.
He said the supporters have given him massive support to then leave the team now hence, he felt the need to reassure them and the players who were also affected that ‘nothing changes’ as he was their chairman.
Simelane was in the headlines on Wednesday following his imminent relocation to South Africa which threatened the club’s revival process.
