SWAZIBANK CUP DRAW TONIGHT

MBABANE – The eagerly anticipated SwaziBank Cup draw will be held tonight at Somhlolo National Stadium.
This will be during the half-time of the quarter-final replay match pitting security forces’ sides Correctional Services’ Green Mamba and police ensemble Royal Leopard.


This will be the main clash, as another replay will feature Midas City against Mbabane Swallows at 6.30pm. The main game will start at 8.30pm.
SwaziBank Cup Management Committee (MC) Secretary John Mazibuko on the other hand urged the soccer lovers to watch the replay in their numbers.


“Besides the senior teams’ semi-finals draw, which will be conducted during half time of the first game, we will also have the Under-20 draw conducted at the same time. However, it should be clear that the Under-20 games will be played a day before the tournament’s semi-finals, examining the Under 20s will have their semis played on Saturday.


“Soccer fans should continue supporting the tournament in numbers. We are now approaching the most exciting stage and people from all walks of life should ensure that they do not miss the games, which are thrilling, as evidenced by last weekend’s ones,” he said.


Two teams, army side Young Buffaloes and National First Division League giants, Mbabane Highlanders are already in the semi-finals of the lucrative tournament.


Buffaloes beat First Division side Imphumelelo 1-0 last Saturday to advance, while Highlanders beat Moneni Pirates 6-5 after penalties.
This past weekend witnessed the biggest crowd since the start of this year’s tournament, as more or less 5 000 soccer lovers watched the games. The main game of the day pitting Green Mamba against Royal Leopard was abandoned in the second half.
