E1 600 FOR GEORGE HOTEL POOL LEAGUE CHAMPION

MBABANE – The winner of The George Hotel E7 000 Open Singles Pool League is set to take home E1 600 in December.

The league sponsorship was launched last Tuesday at the hotel but the prize breakdown was not announced. However, tournament coordinator Vusi Masilela confirmed the breakdown yesterday which put the winner at E1 600 cash prize.

“It will not just be the E1 600 cash prize for the champion but also a trophy and gold medal. We have good prizes here and interestingly, all top 16 players will get something, with the lowest taking home E200,” he confirmed.

He said the second prize was E1 300, the third prize at E1 100 and E1 000 for the 4th prize. Asked on the registration which is set at E50 per male player as it is free for women players, he said it was all looking good as they expected to have large numbers by Friday.

“We’ll be having our eliminations this Saturday at the hotel so Friday is the last day of registration. Otherwise, it is currently impressive and we’re looking forward to a competitive league,” he said.
