WE REMAIN THE BEST TEAM IN SWAZILAND

Greetings Mkhonto KaShaka, greetings, Nqolebovu Kamasizila, greetings, hello to you all beautiful Birds on this lovely Friday.
I greet you all in the name of this great club, Mbabane Swallows FC.

As a family, our spirits are at their lowest ebb. We all know the reasons. Last Sunday we crashed out of the SwaziBank Cup in the semi-finals stage of the knockout tournament. We are so disappointed that we could not get a positive result on the day.
Leopard, I must confess, beat us fair and square. On the day, they were the better team. Even though it was so difficult, at the end of the day we accepted the defeat just like all great teams. It is true Mkhonto KaShaka that we felt terrible after losing the encounter against Leopard but it is also true that you win some and lose some. We felt bad seeing the second trophy we won last season slip out of the nest.

We felt bad at the fact that we could not defend the SwaziBank Cup, which is a tournament we won in great style last season. It felts like a bad dream. It felt like a nightmare losing to a team we beat at the same stage last season on our way to lifting the trophy. However, life goes on Swai Swai. I also urge you to accept the defeat. What consoled us the most was seeing so many people including other teams’ supporters join our opponents, Royal Leopard, in celebrating their win over us.

The celebrations after the game were not surprising because we saw a number of other teams’ supporters join Leopard and it dawned to us that indeed we are the best team in Swaziland. We remain the best side and that is why the other teams’ supporters could not resist the temptation to celebrate with our opponents for achieving what many others can only dream of.

RESULTS

We are now public enemy number one because of our results on the field of play. We are now the common enemy because we unite teams to be against us. We actually play more than just one team in each and every game we play and we love it.
We will meet Leopard again. On that day, the sun will set in the afternoon. Sparks will fly. It is not a threat but a promise.

Nothing special about Wanderers

As you know by now, on Saturday your favourite team, this great side of ours will host Manzini Wanderers in a second round game of the MTN League.
To us, as the league’s defending champions, there is just nothing special about our opponents this weekend. That is why we have prepared for them just like we do when preparing for the rest of the teams we play in the league.
We are obviously going to go into the game hoping to win it.

Our focus has not changed. We still want to defend the MTN League crown. That means we have to win all the games we play and by extension the game against Manzini Wanderers.
Our supporters, who are always well behaved, will be behind us. Please Swai Swai come in your numbers for the game. We need your support. Please show the world yet again who is the most supported side in the land.
Seeing all of you beautifully clad in your team’s replicas uplifts the players’ spirits as well. They never want to disappoint you when you have filled the grandstand to the brim. We are counting on you Nqolebovu to do us proud. I know you will be at your best behaviour as always.

Lungisa Funeral Plan

Despite the somewhat painful exit in the SwaziBank Cup, please ensure Swai Swai that you keep on joining the Lungisa Funeral Plan.
Besides helping the club to win the next E20 000 at stake for the team with most supporters joining in the scheme, it also ensures that our supporters will have little to worry about with regards their future.

They know they will be taken care of. Moreover, this is just another of the many ways with which we can show our appreciation to SwaziBank for their kind gesture. Please encourage everyone to support the bank with a heart.
I will talk to you again next week, Swai Swai and I love you all!
Shaka akashayeki!
