MAPHALALENI – The Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs has been officially shown and given land where a sports and recreation centre is to be constructed at Maphalaleni Inkhundla.

Chief Mshila Dlamini of Maphalaleni Chiefdom on Monday welcomed representatives of the ministry and Sports Officers Foreman Dlamini and Lucky Sihlongonyane in his chiefdom in the presence of Maphalaleni Inkhundla Member of Parliament (MP) Mabulala Maseko and other members of the community.

Sihlongonyane said they were happy with the land as it was relatively flat and placed in a beautiful area with great scenery, needing minor excavation work for construction purposes.
“I am going to take back a report of what I have seen to our superiors and all that is needed now is for the chief to write a formal letter informing the ministry that this site has been identified and he has agreed to have the centre constructed here.

This will also enable the minister (David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala) to come with others to officially bless the site,” said Sihlongonyane.
Meanwhile, Maseko asked that the people be united and work to keep the structure in good shape upon construction.
