MBABANE - Same venue, new date!

The fifth edition of Makoti Festival will now be held on May 2, 2026 at the Malkerns Country Club.

The Makoti Festival Executive team have announced that due to the none availability of some of the headliners on the initial date which was  25 April 2026,they decided to change the date to accommodate all the artists they have approached to participate at this year's festival.

As the festival draws near fans have 'grabbed' all the phase one VIP and general tickets and it is now officially sold out and tickets now move to phase two. 

The Executive Team has promised an epic line-up for the fifth edition as more artists will be revealed in the coming weeks. Some of the artists that have already been revealed include, South African sensation DJ, TV personality and business woman DJ Zinhle, local Gospel sensation, former South African Spirit of Praise member fresh from touring Taiwan and a few provinces in SA in promoting her latest album is Nothando Hlophe. More local artists joining the exciting Phase 1 line up include; Velemseni, Gifted Kosie, Culolami, Ash, Nelson and  Mozambique's DJ Skywhite.

The festival is a full day of live music, fashion and cultural exchange that celebrates southern Africa’s creative brilliance and global spirit. The highly anticipated festival half a decade later is a cultural celebration.

The fourth edition of the Makoti Festival was successfully held on April 26, 2025, also at the Malkerns Country Club headlined by local and international acts. The event brought together local artists as well as DJs and outside talent from four countries; South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana and Mozambique.

Since its inception in April 2022, the Makoti Festival has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated festivals. The 2026 Makoti Festival continues its mission as a family-oriented cultural celebration rooted in Eswatini traditions. The festival honours women, married, unmarried and young girls preparing for their future roles as makotis.
