MBABANE – Gospel sensation Nothando Hlophe’s YouTube Partner Programme is over halfway complete, meaning that the musician will soon cash out from the platform.
Management for Nothando Hlophe has provided a status update regarding the ongoing conversion and optimisation of her official YouTube channel. The process is currently 60 per cent complete. While the team has made significant strides in streamlining the platform, technical and registration hurdles remain.
These specific challenges relate to full eligibility for YouTube’s monetisation programme and the integration of a formal payment setup.
To resolve these issues, her management is collaborating with digital specialists in South Africa.
These experts are working on the ground to ensure the channel meets all international compliance standards and technical requirements for a successful transition.
The YouTube Partner Programme allows content creators to monetise their YouTube videos through ads, merchandise and other features.
To be eligible, creators must meet YouTube’s requirements, including:
1. Having at least 1 000 subscribers
2. Reaching 4 000 watch hours in the past 12 months
3. Complying with YouTube’s community guidelines and terms of service.
Once accepted, creators can earn money from ads, YouTube Premium revenue and other monetisation features. The programme helps creators build a sustainable career on YouTube.
Despite these administrative delays, progress remains steady. Management has opted for a deliberate, phased approach to ensure the long-term stability and sustainability of the platform.
The focus remains on building a secure digital foundation that meets all platform regulations before the final launch.
The Gospel powerhouse’s team stated that further updates will be shared as the remaining 40 per cent of the technical transition is completed.
The musician has cemented her escalating digital presence as her track, ‘Methodist Medley,’ recently reached a new highest daily peak on the South Africa Spotify Daily Charts.
