Ndlovu denied he married three wives'
MBABANE – Minister Hlobisile Ndlovu’s late father is alleged to have denied having married his three wives.
Calvin Ndlovu is said to have stated in his will that he considered himself not having married his three previous wives; therefore they should not be considered as benefactors of his estate.
This was revealed at the High Court, where Knox Mshumayeli Nxumalo seeks an order to have Ndlovu’s marriage with Siphiwe Ndlovu declared null and void.
Nxumalo, during cross examination told the court that he assisted the late Ndlovu to prepare his will before he died. He said Minister Hlobisile Ndlovu’s mother Siphiwe Ndlovu, marriage in community of property with the deceased, was null and void. He said this was because the other marriages had not been nullified. He further said she was not entitled to get a 50 per cent share of the deceased’s estate
.
“The marriage certificate does not have that endorsement as per the Marriages Act. I tried to accommodate her to the best of my abilities on the residue of the estate. I gave her 50 per cent,” Nxumalo said.
