Malanti sign ex-Thanda Royal Zulu player
MBABANE – Malanti Chiefs have registered former Nathi Lions and Thanda Royal Zulu flying left winger, Sihle Ndaba ahead of the weekend’s MTN League match against Moneni Pirates.
The player, who featured during Saturday’s friendly match against Mhlambanyatsi Rovers, has already received rave reviews for his performance. And he is among the three players from South Africa that new coach Abel ‘Chaklas’ Shongwe will be signing for the new season.
Team manager, Vusi ‘Shoes’ Dlamini confirmed the signing of Ndaba who he said will team up with striker Philip Mbonani who played for Vodacom League side Blackpool and Derrick Khumalo.
"We are busy with registration and I can confirm that we are registering Sihle Ndaba who was snatched from under our jaws by Thanda Royal Zulu last season. He is back now and the technical bench is happy with his performance," he said.
At Nathi Lions, the player played under Mlungisi ‘Professor’ Ngubane and Manzini Sundowns’ incumbent coach, Kenny Ndlazi. In 2008, he survived a nasty car accident ahead of their First Division Coastal Stream season opener away to African Warriors at Charles Mopeli Stadium. Two other players Oscar Khoso and Dumile Ndlovu, along with assistant coaches Sipho Zimba and Lindani Shezi, were treated at a Durban hospital after their car rammed into a taxi.
