MBABANE – The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office is set to host the first-ever National Disability Arts and Music Festival on September 27, 2025.

The festival, which was officially launched in June by Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla at the Luke Commission Hall in Sidvokodvo, aims to provide a platform for artists with disabilities to showcase their talents and promote inclusivity in the arts. The historic event will feature a diverse range of artistic expressions, including music, dance, poetry, drama, crafts, visual arts and fashion. A number of people with disabilities have already registered to participate, demonstrating the rich talent pool within the community. The Deputy Prime Minister, Senator Thulisile Dladla, emphasised that the festival is a powerful statement of courage, creativity and the undeniable truth that disability is not inability.

The festival will be supported by local artists including Sipho Makhabane, Sphiwo Ndoni, Mshikishi, Phetsile Masilela, Linda Dlamini, Nathando Dlamini and Sabelo.
