MBABANE - Fresh driving the audience crazy at the Hollywoodbets Durban July this previous weekend, K.O is set to bring the same energy locally.
The organisers of the 33rd Swazi Rally have announced South African Hip Hop star K.O as the first international artist on this year’s entertainment line-up. The award-winning musician is expected to perform during the rally, which will take place from August 28 to 30 at Sidvokodvo Riders Ranch.
Swazi Rally Public Relations and Marketing Officer Banele Dlamini said securing K.O reflects the organisers’ commitment to bringing top-quality entertainment while strengthening the event’s growing reputation across the region.
“We are excited to announce K.O as our first international artist for this year’s Swazi Rally. He is one of the biggest names in African Hip Hop and we believe his performance will add great value to the event,” said Dlamini.
He said more local and international artists would be announced in the coming weeks as preparations continue.
“Our entertainment programme is being carefully put together to cater for different audiences. We want visitors to enjoy a complete experience that combines music, motorcycles, family entertainment and tourism,” he said. Born Ntokozo Mdluli, K.O is one of South Africa’s most successful Hip Hop artists. He first rose to fame as a member of the award-winning group Teargas, before launching a solo career that has produced several hit songs and albums. Over the years, he has built a strong following across Africa through popular releases such as Caracara, Skhanda Love, SETE and Push It. His music combines Hip Hop with African sounds, making him one of the continent’s most recognisable performers.
