MBABANE – Another international recognition.
Former Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Brand and Marketing Officer Lindelwa ‘Malindi’ Dlamini has been appointed to a key role for the next Region V Youth Games. The 12th edition of the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Southern Africa event will be held in Mozambique this December.
Dlamini’s appointment was announced in a letter dated September 22, 2025, from AUSC Chief Executive Officer Stanley Mutoya. “I have the pleasure to inform you that the region has appointed you to serve on the Regional Organising Committee (ROC) for the 12th edition of the Region V Youth Games,” the letter states.
Dlamini, who left the PLE in October 2023, has spent the past two years at the AUSC headquarters in Yaoundé, Cameroon. He currently serves as the Senior Sports Officer, Head for Sports Development Africa.
His new role will see him serve as the ROC Chairperson for Safety, Safeguarding and Sustainability.
Dlamini has also been invited to an ROC Induction, which will take place at the Southern Sun Hotel in Johannesburg from October 22 to 24, 2025.
