MBABANE – “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
This adage rings true for the Sicalisa Foundation, which has provided kits worth E20 000 to the representative teams from the Mpolonjeni Chiefdom in Siteki. The teams also received footballs from the foundation.
Senator Tony Sibandze, a member of the foundation, confirmed the donation. He revealed that the teams had approached him for assistance, as he is a citizen of the area.
He disclosed that the teams are currently participating in a E60 000 ‘Fight Against Poaching and Crime’ tournament, sponsored by game reserve owners in the Lubombo Region and the Siteki Police.
“This is an awareness campaign to fight crime in the area, and we are hoping that the finals will be played before the end of the month,” Sibandze said. He further revealed that the foundation would also assist the tournament organisers with other logistics, such as individual prizes.
