MBABANE – With ambitions of restoring past glory burning brightly, Moneni Pirates have unveiled a new management committee tasked with one mission.
They have been tasked with bringing back the club’s glory days. Club President Thulani Xaba yesterday announced the 2026/27 management committee, saying its primary mandate was to provide strong leadership, improve professionalism and accountability, while steering the club onto the continental stage.
Addressing the Pirates family, partners and stakeholders, Xaba said the appointment of the new leadership marked another significant milestone in the club’s rebuilding process as it seeks to establish itself among the country’s elite once again.
“Their mandate is clear: to provide leadership, ensure professionalism, strengthen accountability, deliver results worthy of the Moneni Pirates name and take the club to Africa, where it belongs,” Xaba said.
Heading the new-look structure is former player Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sibusiso Hlanze, who will work alongside Chief Operations Officer (COO) Mandla Mahlalela. Primrose Dlamini has been appointed Finance Manager, while Zama Tsabedze takes charge as Business Development Officer.
Hlanze said they have been given a mandate to bring back glory days.
Meluleki ‘Sluga’ Simelane will continue serving as Public Relations Officer (PRO), Girly Shongwe assumes the role of Welfare Officer, while Sabelo Ntuli has been appointed Team Administrator. Takhona Mkhaliphi and Siphesihle Motsa complete the committee as members.
According to Xaba, Moneni Pirates will adopt a more corporate, structured and results-driven approach during the upcoming campaign, with every office bearer and department expected to meet clearly defined objectives.
“The days of operating without measurable outcomes are behind us. Moneni Pirates is a serious football institution, and we intend to conduct ourselves accordingly,” he said.
Xaba thanked the outgoing 2025/26 management committee, the technical bench, players and supporters for their commitment through both difficult and encouraging periods.
